Default Bruins are takin Off

The Bruins are lookin real good, and now are in a tie for conference lead and have extended their home winning streak to seven games with Friday's win. It is their longest run on home ice since winning eight in a row from November 2-29, 2002. ... Boston also improved to 8-0-1 in its last nine overall. The Bruins have not lost in regulation since a 3-2 setback at Calgary on October 30. ... Boston had dropped each of its last five home meetings with Florida prior to Friday's victory. ... Cs Marc Savard (one goal, one assist) and Phil Kessel (one goal) extended their points streaks to five games. Kessel also stretched his goal-scoring run to three contests. ... G Tim Thomas improved to 5-0-1 in his last six games. ... The Bruins registered 21 of their 39 shots in the second period. ... C David Krejci scored a goal and won 67 percent (16-for-24) of his faceoffs.
