Default WHL mourns the loss of former goaltender Michael Maniago

Calgary, AB -- The Western Hockey League is mourning the loss of former goaltender Michael Maniago. Maniago was tragically killed in a vehicle accident early Saturday morning in his hometown of Calgary, Alberta.

The former Kamloops Blazer and Lethbridge Hurricane spent four years in the WHL appearing in 124 games and was a part of the Hurricanes 2008 WHL Playoff run to the Championship Series against the Spokane Chiefs.

“The WHL and all our Member Clubs extend our deepest condolences to the Maniago family on this tragic loss,” stated WHL Commissioner Ron Robison.
