INJURIES Minnesota Wild injuries, Gaborik out..
Three games into the season, the Wild are decimated by injuries. Pierre-Marc Bouchard was sent home from this road trip because of a bad back, and Gaborik and Owen Nolan (leg) also missed Thursday night's game against the Panthers.
In addition, offseason acquisition Marek Zidlicky, the centerpiece to the Wild's offseason blue-line tinkering, has yet to play a game because of a severe ankle sprain.
So Gaborik's "lower-body injury" wasn't the impetus for Thursday's announcement, but given his record with groin injuries, it wasn't altogether unlikely that his status would be among the first to get the modified treatment.
"Lower body. Will not play tonight. Will remain with the team," Risebrough said
