Tavares vs Hedman in the news - NHL Hockey Forum

I have heard a lot of talk especially after the WJHC about who is better, but if you look into the stats of the players and playing close attention in the WJC, I really don't see Hedman as being competition for Tavares. Now yeah it;s the best North American player and the bes European player, but I really think Tavares is pulling away as #1.

Does anyone NOT think that Tavares will go No. 1 in the Draft ?

78 points in 42 games Tavares is the man. Hedman is a great EUropean player, and a leader in Sweden, but Tavares is going to go NO.1 and deserves to go #1. The kid is exciting, and one hell of a player.

I agree.. plus it may not be fair to compare them in points as Hedman is a defencemen and Tavars a forward but I agree.

Tavares is crazy, kid is good. He'll be awsome to watch in the NHL. Hope he can handle it.

id pick Hedman. He is incredible complete already. not a hitting guy but physical anyway
