This is the problem withthe markets down south, you need to have a winning hockey team to get and keep the fans interested. Teams like Tampa, Phoenix, Atlanta they just don't have the fan support to sustain an NHL team. If they win they can survive if not, see ya, there's only so long they can be carried.
Teams in Canada sell out games and it really doesn't matter if they win or lose. Fans get pissed, bu they still show up. You need to love hockey for hockey, and the NHL is trying to sell something that you just can't buy. A true passion for the sport, win or lose. Same way Americans feel about football, baseball, basketball.
