The Vancouver Canucks have acquired defenceman Shane O'Brien and right wing Michel Ouellet from the Tampa Bay Lightning in exchange for defenceman Lukas Krajicek and right wing Juraj Simek.

O'brien will report to the Nucks and Ouellet will report to the AHL affilate the Manitoba Moose, nice trade really for both teams, suprised the Nucks were able to nab O'brien and his offensive skill set.

Tampa Bay needed help on the blueline especially stay at home help and have been high on Krajicek for some time.
